Elements of a High-Converting Landing Page

Clear Headline

Your headline must communicate the value proposition in under 8 words. Visitors decide whether to stay or leave within 5 seconds. The headline is your 5-second pitch.

Focused Call to Action

One page, one CTA. Do not ask visitors to do three things -- ask them to do one thing. "Get Your Free Quote." "Schedule a Consultation." "Download the Guide." Pick one.

Social Proof

Testimonials, review counts, client logos, or case study snippets build trust. People trust other people more than they trust marketing copy.

Minimal Distraction

Remove the main navigation menu. Remove sidebar content. Remove anything that does not support the conversion goal. Every element should push toward the CTA.

  • Too many CTAs: Giving visitors options creates decision paralysis
  • Slow load time: If the page takes more than 2 seconds to load, you lose conversions
