A well-crafted newsletter is one of the most effective marketing tools available. It keeps you top-of-mind, builds authority, and drives traffic back to your website. The key is creating content subscribers value.

Newsletter Content Formula

Opening Hook

Start with something immediately valuable or interesting. A tip, a stat, a question, or a brief story. Do not start with "In this edition..." Nobody reads that.

Main Content

Provide genuine value. Industry insights, practical tips, behind-the-scenes looks at your business, or curated resources. This is why people subscribed.

Secondary Content

Company news, upcoming events, recent work, or customer spotlights. Keep this shorter than the main content.

Call to Action

One clear CTA per newsletter. Read a blog post, book a consultation, check out a new service, attend an event.

Keeping Subscribers Engaged

  • Consistency: Send on the same day and time every week
  • Subject lines: Specific and curiosity-driven beat generic and promotional
  • Personalization: Use the subscriber name. Segment by interest when possible.
  • Mobile design: Single column, large text, clear buttons
  • Easy unsubscribe: Making it hard to leave creates resentment, not loyalty
