AI Transparency Notice
Version 1 · last reviewed
AppWT uses artificial intelligence (AI) on this website and across the AppWT network, and it tells you where. This notice lists each AI system you can meet here, what it does, how you are told, and how to reach a person instead.
It explains how AppWT handles the transparency duties in Article 50 of the European Union Artificial Intelligence Act, Regulation (EU) 2024/1689. Those duties apply from August 2, 2026. AppWT LLC is based in Michigan, and its sites are open to visitors in the European Union.
AI systems you may meet
| System | What it does | How you are told |
|---|---|---|
| Website chat assistant | Answers questions in the chat window on appwt.com and most AppWT network sites. It uses a first name and a picture, and it may suggest a next step, such as booking a call. If you use the microphone button, your web browser turns your speech into text first. Chat transcripts go to the AppWT sales team. | A line in the chat window says "You are chatting with an AI assistant." If you ask whether you are talking to a person or an AI, it says it is an AI assistant. It then offers you a person by phone, text or email. This notice is linked in the site footer. |
| Read-aloud voice in chat | The play button on a chat message reads that message out loud. | This notice. The voice is a computer-generated text-to-speech voice, not a person reading. |
| Phone assistant | Answers some calls to +1 (888) 565-0171 and (734) 666-9964, and to the Ranked Realty line, (734) 338-7623. It takes your name and the reason for your call. Calls may be recorded, and a summary goes to the AppWT team by email. | The greeting says the call may be recorded. If you ask whether it is a person, it says it is a digital assistant and offers to get you a person on the team. When it places a call, its first words say it is a digital assistant. |
| Text message assistant | Replies to texts sent to AppWT's office Google Voice line. It signs its texts as "Agent" with a first name. | If you ask, it says it is AppWT's digital agent, and it never claims to be a person. Texts to AppWT's published text line, (833) 797-6563, get only fixed replies such as STOP and HELP confirmations, not AI replies. |
| Transcription tool | AppWT Transcribe at transcribe.appwt.com turns audio and video you upload into text, using an AI speech-recognition model. | The tool's own pages say it is powered by OpenAI Whisper. |
Content made or edited with AI
AppWT uses AI to make or edit some of what you read, see and hear on its sites.
- Blog articles. Many articles on the AppWT blog, and on the blogs of some AppWT network sites, are researched and drafted by AI. AppWT software publishes them on a schedule, and a person does not edit each one before it goes live. These articles show the founder's name in the byline.
- Newsletter. The AppWT tips newsletter is drafted by AI, then approved and scheduled by software.
- Pictures of people. The supporting staff shown on the AppWT team page, and the people pictured with chat assistants, are AI personas. Their portraits are AI-generated images, not photos of real people.
- Voices. Some AppWT lesson and promo videos are narrated by AI voices. Some of that narration uses an AI copy of the founder's voice, made from his own recordings and used with his approval.
- Other media. Other images, video and audio on AppWT sites may also be made or edited with AI tools.
What AppWT does not do with AI
On its websites and in every system on this page, AppWT does not use AI to do any of the following:
- Identify people from their face, voice or other body features.
- Build face databases from internet images or camera footage.
- Read emotions from your face or voice. The chat may change its tone based on the words you type, for example when a message sounds frustrated.
- Sort people by race, religion, politics, health, sex life or sexual orientation.
- Give people a social score based on their behavior or personal traits.
- Predict whether a person will commit a crime.
- Use hidden or subliminal tricks, or take advantage of a person's age, disability or money troubles, to change what they do.
- Decide whether a person gets credit, insurance, a job, a place in school or housing. AppWT does give business sales leads a priority score to plan follow-up calls.
Reaching a person
A person at AppWT is available every day. You never have to use an AI system to get help.
- Call +1 (888) 565-0171
- Email sales@appwt.com
- Book a meeting at appwt.com/schedule
AI literacy and oversight
AppWT's own team sets up, runs and supervises every AI system on this page. AppWT's founder decides where AI is used and how each system introduces itself.
Each system follows written instructions that AppWT keeps and updates. Chat transcripts and call summaries go to the AppWT team. When you ask for a person, the chat and phone assistants are set up to give you a way to reach one.
Questions or concerns
To ask about any AI use on an AppWT site, or to report content you think is AI-made and not labeled, email sales@appwt.com with the page address. AppWT reviews every report and fixes a missing label on the site where it was found.
This notice describes how AppWT uses AI. It works alongside the Privacy Policy, which covers personal data, and the Terms of Service.
