lacompagniemdt.com — 27 Missing Elementor CSS Files Crashing Styling

A health-check alert flagged 54 errors on lacompagniemdt.com (27 console-error + 27 failed-request, all from Elementor per-post CSS returning 404 with text/html MIME type). AppWT diagnosed and resolved in 15 minutes.

Music / Performing Arts

The Problem

lacompagniemdt.com (jazz pianist Manou Le Marchand-Dubuit's performance site) flagged 54 health-check errors. Every page that referenced an Elementor per-post-CSS file (e.g. post-3152.css, post-4207.css for contact + testimonials pages) was getting a 404 returned wrapped in a themed HTML error page — meaning the browser saw "text/html" instead of "text/css" and refused to apply the stylesheet, breaking visual layout.

The Approach

  1. Diagnosed via the AppWT health-check pipeline alerting 27 console-error + 27 failed-request entries
  2. Determined Elementor's CSS cache was empty (per-post .css files missing from /wp-content/uploads/elementor/css/)
  3. Triggered Elementor regen via wp-cli (wp elementor flush_css)
  4. Cleared the appwt-page-cache that was caching stale HTML referencing the missing files
  5. Sequentially re-fetched all 27 affected pages to trigger Elementor's per-page CSS regeneration
  6. Verified all 27 CSS files exist on disk + serve 200 text/css live

The Result

All 27 CSS files regenerated and serving correctly within 15 minutes of the alert. Visual layout restored across contact, testimonials, and 25 music sub-pages. Built a daily WordPress-Elementor health-check cron (/usr/local/bin/wp-elementor-daily-audit.sh) that auto-detects + auto-repairs this pattern network-wide. Now monitoring 15 WP+Elementor sites preemptively.
