Las Vegas draws the crowds, but Reno factories, Elko mines and Carson City offices buy websites too.
Nevada work: clients in Las Vegas, Henderson and Spring Valley.
Why AppWT for Nevada
Nevada businesses compete with a visitor economy for every search. AppWT builds Nevada sites around the local customer, not just the tourist, and has delivered work for clients in Las Vegas, Henderson and Spring Valley.
Nevada Beyond the Strip
Tourism, entertainment and gaming remain the largest employers, with mining and ranching across the rest of the state. Nevada mined 4,040,000 troy ounces of gold in 2022, about 4 percent of world production, and the McDermitt Caldera on the Oregon line may hold one of the largest lithium deposits ever found. The Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center hosts the Tesla Gigafactory with Panasonic, Google and Switch, and the University of Nevada, Reno became a federal Tech Hub in October 2023. Nevada is the driest state in the country, and it shares with California the longest diagonal state boundary, just over 400 miles.
Trails, Silver and the Battle Born State
The Goshute, Southern Paiute, Mohave and Washoe peoples lived here first, along with Paiute and Shoshone nations. Francisco Garces was the first European on record. Jedediah Smith entered the Las Vegas Valley in 1827, and Raphael Rivera, a scout for Antonio Armijo, first put the name Las Vegas on record in an 1830 report. Mormon settlers built the first permanent settlement at Mormon Station, now Genoa, in 1851.
Mark Twain lived in Nevada and drew on those years for Roughing It. The 1931 law that reopened the casinos also made the divorce statutes the most liberal in the country, which helped turn the state into a major destination. Nevadans say the name with the vowel of apple, and a bill to recognize the other pronunciation never came to a vote.

A Henderson dentist, a Reno logistics firm and a Las Vegas wedding chapel need very different pages.
Nevada entered the Union eight days before the 1864 election with roughly 40,000 people, below the usual 60,000, and its constitution went to Washington by telegraph on October 26. In 1940 it had just over 110,000 residents, the fewest of any state. Carson City is an independent city that belongs to no county, and much of the state drains to no sea at all.
How Nevada Works
Tourism, mining and cattle ranching are the three pillars, and tourism is still the largest employer. Outside Las Vegas and Reno, mining carries the local economy, with construction aggregates, copper, gypsum, diatomite and lithium alongside gold. More than 90 percent of the state's cropland grows hay, mostly alfalfa, for cattle.
- Nevada is described as the fourth largest gold producer in the world.
- About 438,511 cattle and 71,699 sheep were counted in 2020.
- Large data centers cluster around Reno and Sparks.
- The Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center holds the Tesla Gigafactory, Panasonic, Google, Switch and Positron AI.
