Pre-flight checklist for any campaign

By Tony Paris · October 31, 2026 · 2 min read

Drafted with AI and published by AppWT.

I give a practical checklist to run before you launch a campaign. You can use it across email, social, ads and landing pages this week.

Before you launch

Here is my pre-flight checklist for any campaign. Use it before you publish an email, post on social, launch ads, or push a page live.

Core checks

  • Goal and success measure set. It keeps choices focused and shows what to improve first.
  • Audience and targeting defined. You reach the right people and avoid waste.
  • Offer and message aligned. The promise matches the landing page so no one feels misled.
  • Assets approved. Right sizes reduce rejections and keep brand style consistent.
  • Landing page ready. It loads well on mobile, is easy to read and repeats the call to action.
  • Tracking verified. A full test from click to thank you appears in your analytics so you can trust the data.
  • Forms and inbox tested. The thank you page, confirmation message and internal notifications all send.
  • CRM and routing set. A CRM is a system to track contacts and deals, and it keeps leads from getting lost.
  • Follow up plan set. Templates and time windows are written so replies are fast and consistent.
  • Legal and consent reviewed. Confirm specifics with your attorney or compliance advisor.
  • Final QA done. Spelling, working links and clear image descriptions for screen readers are in place.

Channel checks

  • Email. Subject and preview line are clear, a plain text version exists and tests look good in common mail apps.
  • Social. Posts fit each platform, captions state the next step and profile links point to the right page.
  • Ads. Search terms and audiences match the offer, blocked terms prevent bad matches and policies are reviewed.
  • Pages. The headline states the value, one clear call to action is visible without scrolling and forms only ask what is needed.
  • Timing. Send and post times suit when your audience is active and when you can reply.
  • Analytics. Campaign names are consistent so later reports group correctly.

If you want help running this checklist and building the pieces, I support campaigns with Email Marketing, Social Media Marketing, PPC & Paid Advertising, Search Engine Optimization, Local SEO & Citations, CRM, Text Alerts and Marketing Plans. I also offer AppWT Analytics to show which AI assistants send people, what those visitors do and whether they convert, and AppWT CRM for managing leads.
