I show you what I include in every newsletter issue and how to scan it fast. Use this checklist to act on the items that match your goals and adjust your settings in seconds.
Every issue includes short, plain-English items from the topics you picked, plus product updates and my newest posts. Use this checklist to scan fast, act on what matters, and move on with your day.
Quick scan
- Check the send time. Issues arrive at 10 AM in your time zone so you can plan a quick scan.
- Count the items you expect. Weekly 7, twice a week 6, every two weeks 8, monthly 12, quarterly 16. This confirms nothing is missing.
- Start with time sensitive topics you follow. If you picked Security & Compliance or Cybersecurity Alerts, scan those first for urgent steps.
- Open only what supports a current goal. Each item links to the full article for details when you need them.
- Skim product updates and new posts. These often point to simple next steps you can schedule right away.
- Pick one clear action for today. Archive the rest or save them to your task list.
- Privacy check. I do not use open or click tracking, so you can read without being tracked.
Manage and follow up
- Expect rotation across your chosen topics. Nobody gets the same item twice, so you can skim with confidence.
- Use the manage link at the bottom to change topics or frequency. You can also pause for 30, 60, or 90 days, resume, or unsubscribe.
- Match cadence to workload. Choose weekly, twice a week, every two weeks, monthly, or quarterly, and adjust anytime.
- Note holiday shifts. If a send day falls on a US federal holiday, I move it to the next business day.
- Turn reading into action. If an item needs work, drop it into your task list with a due date.
- If you ever spot a duplicate item, reply and tell me. I want to keep the feed clean for you.
If you want help planning a simple digest for your own audience, I can map topics, cadence and workflow under Marketing > Plans.
