I map skills to lessons for each role so training fits real work. You will see how to pick formats, schedule practice, and confirm it is working.
A role-based training plan assigns the right lessons to each job role so people learn what they can use right away. I map lessons for owners, marketers, developers, and operations so training stays focused and practical.
Define roles
- List the roles you have today. Start with owner, marketer, developer, and operations.
- Write two or three outcomes each role is responsible for in plain language.
- Note the core decisions each role makes and the tools they touch.
- Keep this list to one page so it is easy to act on.
Map skills to lessons
- For owners, plan lessons on setting goals and asking good questions about AI, SEO, and campaigns.
- For marketers, include keyword research, on page basics, content briefs, and simple analytics reads.
- For developers, cover site performance, accessibility basics, redirects, and tracking setup.
- For operations, include CRM data hygiene, lead handoff steps, and call or chat handling scripts.
- Write each lesson as a title, why it matters, tools needed, and a short exercise.
Pick formats and cadence
- Use short live sessions for new or changing topics and leave time for questions.
- Record live sessions and offer on demand modules for repeat basics.
- Add hands on exercises with checklists, templates, or talk tracks people can reuse.
- Hold office hours on a regular schedule. Post a simple recap of questions and answers.
- Assign role paths so each person knows which lesson to take next.
Assign practice and feedback
- End every lesson with one action to complete on real work.
- Have a manager or peer review the action using a short checklist.
- Collect common issues and turn them into the next office hours agenda.
- Track completed lessons and upcoming ones in a shared place.
What to check when done
- Every role has a one page path with the next lesson and a matching exercise.
- People have time on the calendar for training and office hours.
- Recordings, recaps, and checklists are easy to find in one place.
- New hires can start with the role path on day one without extra help.
- Leads, content, and site changes show up in the tracker after each lesson.
