About Warren, Michigan

Warren is the third-largest city in Michigan and the largest suburb of Detroit, sitting just north of the city in Macomb County. Its identity rests on the auto industry and the military: the General Motors Technical Center and the United States Army Detroit Arsenal, home of TACOM, are both here. Detroit Memorial Park Cemetery holds the grave of Supremes singer Florence Ballard. Eminem, Mitch Ryder, Hall of Fame pitcher John Smoltz and actor Blair Underwood are among the notable people tied to Warren, and between 2010 and 2020 growing Hmong and Bangladeshi communities helped double the city's Asian population.
