I walk you through a clean layout, clear copy blocks, and strong calls to action for a service one-sheet. I also show how to tie the print piece to digital without tracking links.
Here is how I design a clear one-sheet for a single service you can print and use this week. I use it for meetings, events, and follow ups.
Below I show the structure, copy blocks, and calls to action. You can build this with common tools and print it locally.
Set the structure
- Pick one audience and one main problem. Write to that reader only.
- Put a small logo at the top and let the headline lead.
- Use a simple flow: header, three short sections, footer.
- Add a clear call to action with phone, URL, and a QR code.
Write the copy
- Headline: state the outcome the reader wants in plain words.
- Subhead: one sentence that says who it is for.
- Body: bullets for Problem and Solution that mirror the reader's pain and benefits.
- Proof and call to action: one trust point and a direct next step.
Design details
- Use easy to read body text and generous line spacing.
- Limit fonts to one family with clear weight steps.
- Choose one accent color from your brand for headers and boxes.
- Align to a simple grid and leave white space around each block.
Tie to digital
- Use a short, memorable URL on your domain that points to the service page.
- Add a QR code to that same URL near the main call to action.
- Match the page headline and offer to the one-sheet so it feels seamless.
- Track without tracking links. Ask new contacts how they found you and log One-sheet in your CRM or notes.
Final checks
- Ten second test: who it is for, the problem, and the next step are obvious.
- Scan test: headers are clear and the bullets are short.
- Accuracy: phone, URL, QR, and email work and match the page.
- Print test: margins, contrast, and readability at arm's length look right.
